Philippine Independence Day ( June 12,1898 ) Inflation hits just about anything you need to live - rice, clothing, food, fares, medicines, gas, tuitions, name it. In May, RP's inflation rose to a  nine-year high of 9.6% killing about 35 million poor Filipinos softly and silently while the country is leading to a perfect economic storm.RP should start to see unrest and trouble by this silent killing inflation. In 2007 it was just 2.8% but now the tables have almost turned and experts are seing inflation could rise into double digits this June. The philippine economy faces a perfect economic storm of inflation at a-year high as food and oil prices soar, rising interest and slowing growth, spice up with rising  unemployment and slowing down production, leading the Banko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) to hike brrowing costs for the first time since 2005.Can we stop this inflation? From a $10 a barrel in 1999, oil prices climbed to $95 last year and to a record $136.78 for today, January 12. I hope we can all return to a normal cycle. Yet it might be too late to control inflation. Maybe the worst is yet to come. Food prices rose 14% in May as rice rocketed 31.7% and corn 27.1%. Food riot began to occur in Mindanao. Gasoline, Kerosene and diesel prices have also surged. It have sparked protest around the globe, from the US to Europe, to India an... More...

Happy Independance Day. Lovephileo! When the petrol was going to increase, cars lining up in front of every petrol stations. Some stations even closed their business on that particular day even they still had petrol on stock. Because on the next dat, the price increased 40%, and they earned hard cash right away. We cannot control the always-up prices, at the end of the day I think we will go back to the village and plant our own veggies, produce our own farm foods and live our life inside the village. No more city life.

ha ha...i don't wanna go back to old veggies lifestlye, i must face and conquer this economic storm. if my country will only know the power of love and concern.like the 4 rotary questions of life///then we could have been outlive Singapoer and Thailand/ but everything turns to be otherwise because the richness of Philippines was not harnessed for century's past.why? for we are divided in almost all areas of political life. we have many best politicians but our polity and politics are worst. greed has succumbed the very nature of our politics.and this country is not that powerful to terminate those political culprit that makes this region the Top 1 corrupt country in Asia or if not, to the entire world. sorry to unveil this gruesome record which i do not have the will tell it to the world.
