The profit after tax of Siemens (Pakistan) Engineering Company Limited has declined to Rs 179.202 million in the first quarter ended December 31, 2007 as compared to Rs 207.879 million earned in the corresponding period in 2006. The company's earning per shares stood at Rs 21.73 in the period under review against Rs 25.21 in the same period in a year back.In an information sent to the Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE), the net sales of the company declined to Rs 4.179 billion in the said quarter against Rs 5.206 billion in the same quarter in 2006. On the other hand, the cost of sales also decreased to Rs 3.699 billion in this period against Rs 4.490 billion previously. The company's gross profit stood at Rs 479.788 million in this period as compared to Rs 715.272 million in the same quarter in 2007. More...
