Boeing new order likely from India

Indian Navy likely to source eight long range maritime reconnaissance aircraft worth $ 2.20 Billion deal. These aircraft are based on Boeing 737 platform and due to be flown by 2012 upon user specific development. The deal however has hit a minor road block when India reportedly refused to sign end user agreement, which it has termed as intrusive where the US has sought right to inspect the aircraft periodically as also imposed certain restriction on the deployment of the air assets.
Earlier I had reported the likely jet fighter deal where Boeing is said to have an edge in my review http://www.fingad.com/review/indian_air_force_makes_waves_with_large_jet_fighter_deal
The present deal is likely to be wrapped by the Navy chief during his visit to US as the deal has reached the stage of approval of draft agreement by the US.
This deal when signed will be largest military deal by India in recent times with US and represents a good growth opportunity for Boeing.
