Incorporated in 1990, in technical collaboration with South Korea Hanung Toys and Textiles Ltd is one of the leading manufacturer and exporter of Soft Toys in India. It’s headquarter is situated in New Delhi (India).Company has been accredited with certifications like ISO 9001:2000, EN-71, ASTM and BS-5852 etc. for its quality services being offered in manufacturing, supplying and exporting of furnishings and stuff toys.Stuffed toys segment currently accounts for about 40 percent of company's overall revenue. Manufacturing facilities of the company are installed in Noida and in Roorkee (Uttaranchal) where had set up a Greenfield plant for home furnishings and textiles. During the quarter, its revenue from textiles division increased to Rs 87 crore as against Rs 39 crore a year ago  Recently, the company launched a wide range of home furnishing with attractive colours, designs and fabric.

Where stuffed toys are marketted under the brands "Play-n-Pets" and "Muskan" while Home Furnishings are marketted under the brand name "Splash". HTTL caters to more than 100 distributors for the stuffed toys under the brand Play-n-Pets and Muskan across India, including multi-brand outlets like Lifestyle, Shopper’s Stop, Westside, Big Bazar (Pantaloon group), Pyramid, Globus, Landmark and all other stores. HTTL’s Splash range of home furnishings is available at 600 stores across India.

Company plans to invest over 1 billion rupees in FY09 for the acquisitions of two home furnishing product makers in the U.S. and a toymaker company  in China and to expand  capacity in two stuffed toy facilities at special economic zones in Noida.

Company posted a phenomenal rise in its standalone net profit for the first quarter ended June 2008 boosted by a lower tax rate due to tax benefits enjoyed by the Roorkee facility and two special economic zones (SEZ) facilities in Noida. Tax rate declined to 13 % in April-June, 2008 quarter as against 30 % in the same period last year.

During the quarter, the profit of the company witnessed a surge of 101.09% to Rs 18.69 crore as against Rs 9.29 crore in the same quarter, last year. Company reported an earnings of Rs 7.42 per share during the April -June,2008  quarter as against Rs 3.69 per share, registering a hike of 101.08 % over prior year period. Net sales of the company  for the quarter ended June,2008 increases by 71.40% to Rs 146.03 crore when compared with Rs 85.19 crore last year while its total income during this time period climbed 72.69% to Rs 150.63 crore as against Rs 87.23 crore during the corresponding period previous year. However, expenditure of the company during April-June,2008 quarter surged from Rs 69.98 crore to Rs 120.69 crore.

Hmmm perhaps those toys manufactured in India are safer than made in China..?
