PLEASE READ!!! NEW POSTING REGULATIONS FOR NON-ORIGINAL CONTENT! [ Login to Propose An Edit ]

Fingad authors,

It has come to our attention that several members have posted reviews that are 100% verbatim copies from other websites. These actions must and will stop immediately.

We are running into duplication issues with social bookmarking sites like Digg.com, and thus, hurting our chances of gaining new visitors to our site. I ask that anyone who has posted an article from a copied source remove their article, or it will be removed for you within 24 hours of this posting.

If you find an article that you wish to share with Fingad.com members, please write your own review of that article and reference/quote, the sections of the article that inspired your to write a review in the first place. Simply giving the author his/her due credit for writing the article is not satisfactory.

My reasoning is two-fold:

1) Duplicated material hurts our search engine rankings.
2) We lose public credibility by providing non-original content.

If you have questions, you may direct them to the Fingad management team.

Thank you,

Matt Castle
SVP of Research & Operations

Hi Matt,First Congrats for your new assingement....You joined Fingad.....Well, it looks good that all 100% verbatim copies will be deleted by the management if not deleted by the member.....I am afraid that the whole worlk to delete will have to be done by the management...Matt, Offlate I was seeing many such copies of Text from other sites and that the ratio was increasing alarmigly high....I appreciate the call given by you....but again here I am afraid that if Fingad will stop such posting, the participation will get less and only seldom or say rather not so frequent  I have seen an orginal writeup on any stock or stock market view coming up....ofcourse to due respect to many masters who are at the helm of the affairs at very big post.......I see rare original views ......Matt, just take it as my own thinking.....I may be wrong....Regards,Rajeev

Hi Matt, We need an international option when we post articles as well as individual country options - particularly for currency trading, but for other articles as well. Being able to choose more than one country at a time would also be useful. Regards, Denese

Hey Matt, thats a good policy, and we should not reproduce somebody else's work as our own. Its plagiarism. It should be avoided.

Reproducing of a review copied from other sources is an act of shame. One derives pleasure only from his own work done out of his own hectic efforts. The pleasure he may derive from his own work is far far greater than what he may get from a duplication

Hi Matt, I guess i was a victim right from fingad. I am checking now one of my articles were taken by one writer, i believe. That makes me mad. However, your reminder makes them uncomfortable. Thanks. Cris
